A step toward accessibility

A staircase can be a difficult obstacle for older persons.It is therefore important to consider,from the first stage of the project,security and ability to adapt.
Based on several reference works, we would suggest in order to make a staircase accessible.
It’s recommended that the staircase would include the following:
- Adequate width ( 85 to 90 cm)
- Treads at the same height (18.5 cm max.) and steps the same depth( min.22cm, max.28 cm)
- A limited number of foot steps ( 12 to 17 per flights)
- Treads with bullnose
